May 1, 2011 | ITC Mauritius National Report: Results of the Wave 2 Survey | English
This report presents the results from the most recent wave (Wave 2) of the ITC Mauritius Survey and compares these with the findings from Wave 1. The ITC Mauritius Survey is a face-to-face survey of a nationally representative sample of smokers and non-smokers. These regulations strengthened existing policies on smoking in public places and advertising, promotion, and sponsorship of tobacco products. Other measures included a ban on the sale of tobacco to minors and by minors; a ban on the display of tar and nicotine content or carbon monoxide yield on packs; and measures to reduce the illicit trade of cigarettes.
