Krzysztof Przewoźniak has 36 years of experience in the field of public health, health promotion, cancer and tobacco control, methodology of social and life sciences, social and media campaigning, and health communication and marketing. Since 5 years, he is also broadly involved in the projects on mobile and smart health and the use of artificial intelligence in health care and public health. As a government public health expert, he took part in preparing and enforcing the long-term and annual national health, cancer control and tobacco policy strategies and laws. He also advised to the Polish government during Polish Presidency at the European Council. He has been working or collaborating with the World Health Organization (WHO), International Union Against Cancer (UICC), International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), World Bank, and many Polish, European and American universities and health institutions.

He was project leader, principal investigator or collaborator in more than 150 Polish and international research and intervention projects, including SEARCH, HEM, PONS, GATS, GYTS, EE-HQS, EPACTT and TackSHS. He is author or co-author over 252 scientific publications, including 62 published in peer-reviewed international journals.

For his scientific, social, and public health work, he has received awards from the President of the Republic of Poland, the Ministry of Health, Polish Academy of Sciences, UICC Globalink Network, European Network for Smoking Prevention, US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Health Promotion Foundation.
