Kai Jiang, Ph.D., is the ITC Survey Manager, overseeing quality control, survey operationalization and documentation. Kai earned her Ph.D. degree from the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies at the University of Waterloo with a specialization in consumer behavioural research, statistics, and marketing.
Kai has over ten years’ survey project management, marketing consultancy, and data analytics experience. Before joining ITC in 2021, Kai was a Survey Manager at Canadian Index of Wellbeing and a Project Associate (branding consultancy) in the Faculty of Business at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has led national wellbeing indicator updates and has managed many community wellbeing research projects. She has extensive experience working with organizations and governments across Canada, including Nova Scotia and the Yukon, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, Oxford County, and the Region of Peel.
Kai has established a strong research and publishing record in consumer psychology, consumer behaviours, and wellbeing. She has published in many internationally leading journals and presented academic papers at regional, national, and international conferences. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, she has a profile with international exposure and cross-cultural perspectives.
